NERVOUS COFFEE

I walked into a small cafe and welcomed myself to the cashier. From his shaky hands and the stutter in his voice, I could tell he was new. He worked hard and welcomed everyone with a bright smile and determination behind his worry filled voice. Co-workers smelled of laziness around the corner, conversing about the next party at the strip club, and relishing on their female interest. "My first interest is writing and I always say my second is girls!", the female barista spoke out in an overly loud tone. You could see the stress and concern forming on the hardworking newbies face. He needed help and his co-workers were too busy thinking with their other heads. The unsatisfied and impatient customers awaited for their cold and hot beverages. "Thank you all for your patience." he spoke out after every sign he heard from them. He continued on, working hard and giving his new job a dose of effort every sigh at a time.
